Reading Festival, Reading
A few things from this years festival.
I wish I watched more of Oasis than I did. They clashed with Muse in the tent and we headed there. Muse were equally as good but Oasis are one of my all time favourite bands and it is the only time I saw them perform.
Don’t get me wrong here, he’s fantastic for rock and what he’s done has been incredible but Dave Grohl talks and talks and talks… Kinda ruined what I love about the Foo Fighters. Not even sure if I’ve seen them since (possibly before at Brixton) to be honest but I see it on every live video. Just play more of the songs we all love!
Saturday was a complete washout due to the rain, so much so stayed in Maidenhead and went to the local leisure center where we did the Crystal Maze before it was cool (circa 2017-8)! Pulp headlined the festival that night on what was a pretty poor day. We may have returned to see them I can’t remember, if we did then it didn’t stick in my mind at all.
Blink 182 were highly entertaining, it was like a comedy show up there. Wouldn’t mind seeing them at a Brixton sized venue again.
Sunday was 100% main stage action! Not really sure who this lot was but Daphne and Celeste were some kind of pop duo who kept saying they were going to play Reading Festival. They were invited onto the bill for a couple of songs and drew a massive crowd carrying bottles filled with piss.
As you can see their performance went down well with the crowd and they headed further and further back as the set continued.
Sunday mainstage also had Slipknot, Stereophonics, Placebo, “A”, Cay, My Vitriol and Eminem.
Rage Against the Machine were fucking amazing! I’d love to see this band just one more time. If I could see one band again live in their own show it would be Rage.
Line up: "A", Blink 182, Cay, Daphne and Celeste, Eminem, Foo Fighters, Limp Bizkit, Muse, My Vitriol, Oasis, Placebo, Rage Against The Machine, Shed Seven, Slipknot, Stereophonics, The Bluetones
