Papa Roach, Brixton Academy, London

Openers Dead we failed to catch their full set as we were trying to avoid Ho99o9. We’d been warned about the Horror of H09909 prior to this gig by Simon, he wasn’t wrong, they are quite simply one of the worst bands I’ve ever seen. The following morning I saw on Twitter describing them as a cross between The Sex Pistols and The Prodigy, they are neither.

Papa Roach played a solid set and were as good as they have always been whenever I’ve seen them in the past. They played a couple of covers including Song 2 and In The End dedicated to the late Chester Bennington, a fitting tribute on World Mental Health Day.
