Garbage, NEC Arena, Birmingham

I headed out on tour with Garbage for a full tour for the first time, 6 shows in one week covering mainland UK.

The show was the first arena show I ever did, I was amazed at the size of the place, I didn’t think much of Moloko at the time, they really weren’t my cup of tea. Garbage had changed the stage show slightly from the Brixton show with more lights to make it more fitting for an Arena show.

I met Claire for the first time here as well as Rurick from Germany who was planning 15 shows in a row. I think I may have met Brummie Dave here as well.

Claire’s parents gave me a lift back to my hotel as I was planning to walk back to the city centre after the gig. I think they saw me just before the motorway and pulled over, wondering what on earth I was doing. I’ve no clue either and still none the wiser as to how I was planning on getting back to my hotel, I’m not even sure how I got to the venue from their in the afternoon either.
