Garbage, Brixton Academy, London

The very first time I saw Garbage live, who would have thought back then that this band would have had such a huge impact on my life. I’ve met so many amazing friends as a result of this band, I can’t begin to think how different my life would have turned out without them. Not only that but even my career. There’s no chance in hell I would be a web developer had it not been for the fact I built a Garbage fansite back in 1999! Even after all these years I’m still meeting some amazing people who follow this band.

The show itself I obviously thought was incredible, the press didn’t think it was that great as there were apparently a number of industry people in attendance. I went to the show with Amanda, we were front row center for the majority of the show, near the end of it she wanted to get out because of the crushing, we were both lifted over the barrier, yeah Garbage had real mosh pits back then! The show was in support of their Version 2.0 album which had just been number 1 in the charts.
