Feeder, The Astoria, London

I think it was at this show where earlier in the day the band did a signing at Tower Records, I remember the rule was that you could only get their latest single signed, I believe this was Buck Rogers. I refused to get one and security were trying to ask me to leave the line to collect a copy. I told them I wanted to get something else signed, to which they said it would be refused by the band. I was certain the item I had wouldn’t be. When it was finally my turn, I said hello and then presented them with my copy of their Two Colours EP, this is one of the bands earliest releases sold only at gigs, it’s extremely rare, even in 2000, their faces all suddenly changed from the normal bored look you see at signings, to one of joy as they knew straight away that I clearly knew exactly who they were, and had done for a long time! There was of course no problem whatsoever with getting the item signed, something I made clear to with security on the way out of course.
