Stormvogels Telstar v Excelsior, TATA Steel Stadion, Velsen, Holland

The evening, as with many where Michel is involved was so crazy! We had spent the day in Amsterdam drinking before the game and had lost track of the time. This was of course because we were in Teasers when it was good. All of a sudden we noticed the time and had to make a mad dash for it. I thought we were heading to the train station. We wasn’t it was to a boat behind the station, which had just left… we then both jumped from the quayside on to this moving boat, while pissed!

So after a quick celebratory beer on board we headed to the game. Excelsior were playing for the 2nd division title, I think they won 2-0 and therefore the away fans were going wild up until the results from the other games came in when everyone just said “oh well, we shall win it next week instead” and went home.

Tonight was also the night that we first discovered a fantastic little bar in Amsterdam called Cafe’ Belgique. If you’re ever there make sure you pay it a visit.
