Despite being the better team Liverpool’s away winning streak comes to an end at the Cottage. Liverpool had a goal disallowed, had a penalty turned down and hit the woodwork again. Jay Speering got sent off late on for the Reds for a challenge that could have gone either way. Liverpool were still in the game and Schwarzer pulled off a great save to prevent Stuart Downing from taking the lead. Fulham then attacked and Reina spilled a shot straight into the path of Demsey.
