I was really lucky with this one as I had no ticket but managed to locate one at Gatwick before I flew in the morning. Unluckily for both Michel and Vincent they were unable to secure one outside the ground.

The match itself turned out to be yet another dire performance from Liverpool in a match of few chances. Roy Hodgson once again played total defence the whole game. I’m seriously starting to think that he doesn’t understand what Liverpool FC is about. I was also a little shocked at the amount of fans I’d spoken with during the day who are already questioning him and want him out after just a few weeks.

As I said we were woeful in Utrecht they must have felt that they had lost the game because they deserved so much more than a point, we deserved fuck all.

Tip: If you ever go and see FC Utrecht there is not a single pub around the ground so you may as well remain in the city centre. Away fans get escorted by police on buses out of the ground and back to the train station following the match.
